Duncan cut his teeth in publishing with top London ad agency Bates Dorland. Having started fresh from college, within three years he progressed via the production and traffic departments to the role of copywriter on a junior creative team. He worked on numerous blue chip accounts including B&Q, Woolworths, Superdrug, MG Rover, and Grolsch.
Having left London to pursue his sporting ambitions, Duncan embarked on 11 years with a leading magazine publisher as sub-editor on cycling and windsurfing titles before taking over the reins as production manager for Boards, Yachts & Yachting, Fins and SUPaddleboards. More recently he has been busy editing leading windsurfing websites, run social media sites and developed digital magazines, ebooks and apps. He is also co-editor of the Europe and World Kite & Windsurfing Guide books and production editor for Rowing & Regatta magazine.
A promising county standard rugby player before knee injury cut short his career, Duncan remains a ‘social’ rugby player, accomplished windsurfer, passionate surfer and cyclist, and a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) instructor.
