In the days they were the Amateur Rowing Association, British Rowing’s Regatta magazine focused mainly on river rowing events and results. Over the past seven years the Legacy Sport Media team have helped the client’s editorial board to widen the scope of the title to reflect all the forms of rowing its members engage in, suggesting a change in title, design and format, resulting in the current Rowing & Regatta magazine.
Fresh from great public acclaim and press coverage from the highly successful 2012 Paralympic Games, the BPA were keen to take quick advantage of the huge interest in Paralympic sports and engage with potential new participants through their Parasport initiative. Several Sports Fest events were planned at regional sports parks to showcase Paralympic sports to grassroots disabled athletes and youngsters inspired by the Games. Having seen the Paralympic Games daily programmes that our team had been involved in creating, LSM was commissioned to produce a new Parasport brochure and four Sports Fest programmes.
The British Finn Association asked LSM to create a higher quality magazine to showcase the thoroughbred men’s Olympic Heavyweight dinghy class in the run-up to the London 2012 Games.
British Rowing challenged us to find a low-cost digital solution for members to access the official magazine on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. They needed it to simultaneously provide a subscription version to non-members. It should be cost neutral to members, low maintenance and, crucially, provide a fresh revenue stream…
England Golf were looking for a new style of annual report that would tell the journey of England Golf in the last year, highlighting successes and personal stories in a graphical and easy to assimilate way.
The NSRA asked Legacy Sport Media to create a complete new look and feel for their membership magazine, ‘The Rifleman’. Legacy’s design team produced example feature spreads and new cover designs that were well received by the client.
